By Baptism we become members of the Church, the Body of Christ. “We were all baptized into one Body… you are the Body of Christ and individually parts of it.” Thank you for choosing Sacred Heart Catholic Church to extend this great gift of God’s generosity and for allowing us to participate in the beginning your child’s faith journey.
Since Baptism is the sacrament of entry into the Church, it’s important that we celebrate this sacrament before the gathered community. Therefore, baptisms are celebrated at both Saturday Evening and Sunday Masses, except during the season of Lent.
Parents and Godparents are required to do preparation for the sacrament that is offered by the parish. The preparation includes an explanation of the theology of the sacrament, a run-through of the Rite itself, as well as an explanation of the Church’s requirements for the sacrament.
