Youth

"He went down with them and came to Nazareth,
and was obedient to them;
and his mother kept all these things in her heart.
And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man."

— Luke 2:51–52

Religious education for young people (grades 6–12) takes place on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30pm, and runs from September to May. Middle-school students (grades 6–8) participate in the "Edge" program, and high-school students (grades 9–12) in the "Lifeteen" program; both are dynamic forms of youth ministry that combine education and fun activities. The parish assesses a fee to cover the cost of religious education: $20 for the first child, $10 for a second child, with a maximum of $30 per family.

The registration form for religious education can be downloaded here.

In addition to religious education, there are other events for young people that take place throughout the year. The young people of the parish also staff the Immaculate Heart of Mary Bookstore, whose proceeds support their activities.

The Sacred Heart Youth ministry maintains a Facebook page, which is used to announce events and provide necessary information and permission forms for youth and parents. This page can be accessed here.
