Children

"Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them;
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

— Matthew 19:14

Religious Education
By virtue of Baptism, parents are the primary teachers of the Christian faith to their children. To assist parents in this task, the parish offers classes in religious education for K–5th grade, which take place on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00pm, and which run from September to May. (If children have older siblings in Religious Education, they may remain in a supervised activity until 7:30pm.) The parish assesses a fee to cover the cost of religious education: $20 for the first child, $10 for the second child, with a maximum of $30 per family.

The registration form for religious education can be downloaded here.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
To help younger children better understand the Bible and the Mass, the parish conducts a Children's Liturgy of the Word at the 9:00am Sunday Mass. Here, children ages three to six spend the first half of Mass studying the Scriptures, and then return at the Preparation of the Altar and Gifts (Offertory).
