Confirmation

"Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this,
he breathed on them and said to them,
"Receive the Holy Spirit."

— John 20:21–22

Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism with a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Strengthened by this sacrament, a confirmed Catholic is joined more closely to the Church, and is empowered to be a more effective witness of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Confirmation is normally received during the 10th grade, and requires that students attend religious-education classes (the "Lifeteen" program on Wednesdays, 6:00 to 7:30pm), as well special Confirmation classes (on selected Sunday evenings, 5:30 to 7:00pm). The Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred during the Easter Season (April or May).

Information about Confirmation, including the registration form, can be accessed here.
